Not everyone finds it easy to relate in a traditional way - the expectations attached to room based therapy, where we sit face to face, may feel overwhelming to some people. We offer a unique flexibility in the way that we work. We are a neurodivergence affirming practice, and strive to be anti-ableist, antiracist, in support of gender and sexual diversity, and against discrimination in all its forms.
Therapy can be designed to suit you, rather than expecting you to fit into therapy.
About me and my practice
I am late-identified as Autistic and having ADHD. My pronouns are she/her. I am bisexual, and vegan.
I work in a range of settings - online, room-based, in nature and partnering with animals. I am a Pluralistic therapist - this means that I don't believe that one approach is right for everyone, nor am I the expert in your challenges. We both have knowledge, experience, and expertise to bring to the table and our work will involve putting our heads together and working things out together.
Experience
I have been working in the field of mental health since I was 18. I have experience of working within psychiatric inpatient care, community mental health settings, education settings and residential care within the statutory, private and voluntary sector. I am also a Lecturer in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I have worked in private practise as a therapist since 2015, running a Community Interest Company - Pony Partnerships CIC.
